Dr. VecchioneDr. Vecchione finished his plastic surgery residency in 1974 at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Harvard University in Boston Mass. and in 1975 completed certification by the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is Chief of Plastic Surgery at Mercy Hospital and past chief of plastic surgery at Children's and Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California. In addition, Dr. Vecchione is a clinical associate professor of surgery at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Vecchione is also head surgeon of the CCSS volunteer medical staff providing free cleft lip and other reconstructive surgery to children from around the world. He has been chief surgeon for most of the CCSS International Field teams doing field surgery in underprivileged countries.
