News and reports of CCSS's progress - Enrique's Story

Enrique
Little Enrique did not have separate fingers on his left hand and only partial fingers on his right hand when he was born.

His cousins told his mother that they would each like to donate a finger so that Enrique could have at least one good hand. His mother asked the doctor if this was possible and they were all very disappointed when they were told that this was a wonderful gesture, but couldn't be done.

Enrique has had 3 operations so far to separate the fingers on his right hand and we plan to start on his left hand as soon as he recovers from this last operation.

Although he will require several more operations, he is finally able to ride his tricycle and feed himself, thanks to his, "New Hand."
